I needed a tb draw for refill of Humaira. It was the weekend and I called Patient First to make sure they still performed TB test/blood draws. I was told hours etc.
It was Saturday and wasn't sure that Quest was open and Patients First wasn't really packed so I went it. When I told them I needed a TB draw test for Humaira refill... requested by my doctor, they looked confused. There were two girls behind counter, one standing one sitting. I was asked repeatedly who was Humaira.. I'm like not WHO... it's a Drug.. I was kinda embarrassed due to a few patients in waiting room listening. I was asked for WHAT? I explained Arthritis and left it at that. The girl got a form for me to fill out and I did so sat down. It's quiet, not too busy and I was on edge from the questions and was listening to them talk regarding how much to charge mie. I figured maybe my co pay, but when called up I was told they were comfortable charging me 61.00..which I felt was alot and chose to leave and get my test done elsewhere. (quest) I had previously had a TB test at Patients First and whatever my high PPO BCBS (federal) didn't pay Medicare A/B picked up.
I posted my experience on Yelp. Patient First Business rep responded and I left it alone. On Jan 27, 2017 I received a certified letter stated they had dropped me as a patient and would no longer service me. Hey, if your clerks don't know something... there are doctors and nurses they could consult for answers. A simple apology would have been nice, instead it's MY fault? ridiculous. Hey I have a primary doctor etc, so it's fine... but what if a person only used Patients first... I am really concerned that Yelp etc is being used for Patient First to choose who they want for Patients. so not cool.
So BEWARE.. if you want to be a patient at Patients First (that's a joke) Be compliant and shut up. My letter states no specific reason... nothing.
My rating is not on doctors or nurses... staff only. I had one issue other than this in 6 years... my results were sent to wrong office.. I wrote a letter. I conclude ONE complaint... ok... TWO complaints... YOU are gone.. whether you are right or wrong. couldn't change date it was more like jan. 18? 2017
