DOT Physical visit
Avoid CDL physical with these folks. NP failed me on 1. Range of motion of neck, 2. Hernia surgery in past, 3. Medication. I am a retired registered nurse, and reviewed the law, none of the above met criteria for disqualification. Second, five previous practitioners approved me under exact same criteria, one a physician. Third, there has been no change in DOT law since previous physical exams. The NP could not justify his decision under law; just it was his opinion. Aside from acting like a complete ass, this guys judgement is way off target. As far as the medication, it has no adverse affects on me, and has previously been approved by prescribing physician, as to driving, etc. As a 22 years registered nurse, I have seen some real problems with some nurse practitioners, but this one takes the cake. Evidence based practice is absent at this office. If you make your living with a CDL avoid this practice at all costs; you could lose your way to make a living with this prick.
