Either incompetence or lies from last physical
Either incompetence or lies.
A prospective employer sent me here for a physical last Monday. It was determined that I can’t have TB Tine tests due to my past and I require a chest X-ray. No problem, I knew that before I went so I brought the $110 for two chest x-rays (a lot higher than standard price for an x-ray but I didn’t chose the people to do the physical). My prospective employer warned me at one point that getting a response took the longest time out of everything in the hiring process so we waited.
Today, 10 days later, Care Spot sent my prospective employer an email saying everything was done but said the prospective employee hadn’t shown up to have his TB Tine test read. At this point they were either making up stuff to cover for not completing the physical or they are incompetent. I didn’t have a TB Tine test, they took chest X-rays as already stated.
I went into the facility to see the person in charge to discuss the apparent mixup. I got a call from my prospective employer (while waiting in the waiting room) which said the facility emailed her and said they suddenly found the X-Ray and would finish the physical (sometime in the future). Kayla, a secretary at the front desk, later came out and asked me what I needed. No person in charge making any attempt to see what issue a customer had. I asked her if she was in charge. She then asked if this was there in reference to last weeks physical. I said yes and she (without looking anything up on a computer or chart) said “we’re waiting for your labs to come back.” Really? 10 days later? And after emailing the prospective employer that everything was done except the TB Tine test reading? Which lie or incompetent statement am I supposed to believe at this point?
When you’re trying to get a new job, and that job is dependent upon seemingly incompetent people, it makes one angry. I would not recommend this business to complete any type of serious medical reviews or exams if people’s livelihoods are on the line. When people lie, I wouldn’t trust them with anything concerning my health.
On the other side of things, during the physical they were 20 minutes late getting started (after the scheduled physical time) BUT, the nurses and the doctor were nice. Once started they moved quickly and appeared to get everything done with competence and respect (except for taking blood, they really need to find some crackhead downtown to give them classes on finding veins). They had the equipment there at the facility to do all the necessary testing to include the overpriced X-rays. I was out in less than 45 minutes after they started the exam.
