    Horrible Experience

On my first few visits, I noticed that they do not wipe down their tables and equipment. Also, the sticky pads that they use on their TENS unit is the SAME for everyone. So if someone has skin disease that is contagious, the next patient will more likely to contract the disease. I asked if they ever clean them, his (tall black guy) response was yes, we wipe them at the end of the day. I have not witnessed any of them cleaning it whatsoever and besides, it’s sticky. How you going to clean that?

When I had PT, I had my own pads that they kept it for the duration of my treatment. My next visit, I asked one of the techs if they have new pads. She said they ran out. Hmm. As a Veteran, my last 6 visits were supposed to be paid by the VA. However, they had charged my insurance (which is covered), but my point is, I do not want to go back to Hazel Green Chiropractor and would continue the treatment somewhere else using my insurance. This has been going on since August 2019. I’ve exhausted all my visits covered by my insurance and Jackie (Billing) has yet to send a reversal to BCBS and VA has not been billed either. Now I’m still waiting from Jackie to fix this issue so I can continue my treatment using my insurance. She billed me incorrectly so they get paid yet now that a reversal is needed, No one knows how to fix it.

Back in October, I called and was told that Jackie had fixed it and for me to wait a month (however, they submitted my claim to my insurance the next day). November came, called my insurance if it’s been reversed, and it has NOT. Hazel Green Chiropractor is quick to charge so they get paid but when it comes to reversal of claims, they CANNOT even do that. Can someone train Jackie how to do reversals? This is very frustrating as it has been going on for 4 months and now I can’t get my chiropractric care (6) visits because Hazel Green chiropractor do NOT know how to take care of this matter. It appears that they are only trained to submit claims so they get paid and nothing else.

On my second visit, where the tall black guy went over my results and discussed the treatment, he claimed that if I do not go twice a week, the treatment is NOT beneficial. He showed me images of a spine to compare to my x-rays to WARRANT the NEED for seeing them 2x a week. I initially just wanted to go once in a while because insurance only covers 12 visits a year, but he discouraged me and insisted 2x a week. Before I left, he had me sign a document stating that I agreed to get seen 2x a week. At first, I was hesitant because I do not want to be obligated to go. He whispered that I do not have to go 2x a week; we just do this for audit purpose (JHACO). My speculation is they make patients sign the paperwork so when it comes to audits, they can support all these visits from patients. Insurance companies only cover 12 visits per year but they were telling me I need more than 12 visits which equates to me having to pay $45 x 12 out of pocket expense! Now I can see why auditors would question the frequency of patients getting seen and by providing that signed document, they can come back and say that the patients agreed even though I was told on the side that they just do it for audit purposes.

In addition, he also stated that I would have a back of a 20 year old again if I go to ALL the visits. I told him that if you can guarantee me that I will truly have a back of. 20 year old, he did he can’t guarantee yet he insisted to get seen 2x a week. He further stated that the chiropractic care will STOP the progression of my degenerative disk disease. Get this, he asked me if I’ve ever been in an accident, I said no. He started pointing at my X-rays where he believed I had an accident and for me to echo his claims. It makes me wonder if he is even licensed or educated to make such claims. Sounds too good to be true.

This is a SCAM and they are ripping people off!!!
